Posting rules — Achadinho
As of 11 September 2026
These rules apply to every ad on Achadinho. They are checked automatically before publication. Anyone who breaks them repeatedly loses access.
1. Who may post
- You must be 18 years old.
- One account per person. Additional accounts used to get around limits lead to suspension.
- If you sell commercially, you must say so. There is a tick box for this when you post an ad. This is not a house rule: commercial sellers owe buyers a right of withdrawal and a warranty, and buyers must be able to tell who they are dealing with.
2. What may not be posted
People, animals, the body
- Live animals of any kind. Pet supplies, feed and cages are allowed.
- Protected animal and plant species and products made from them, such as ivory, tortoiseshell or protected coral.
- Pornography and adult content of any form.
- Sexual services, escort services and the arranging of such offers, however they are worded.
- Human remains and body parts.
Health and substances
- Drugs, narcotics and paraphernalia for using them.
- Medicines, including over-the-counter ones, and supplements with health claims.
- Alcohol and tobacco, including e-cigarettes and liquids. Achadinho cannot verify the age of buyers, so these are not allowed at all.
Weapons
- Weapons and ammunition of any kind, including hunting and sporting weapons, air weapons, blank-firing weapons and replicas resembling real firearms.
- Knives offered as weapons. Kitchen, work and fishing knives are allowed.
Decency and public order
Anything contrary to common decency or public order is not allowed, even where it is not listed individually above. This includes in particular:
- Content glorifying violence, terrorism, racism or oppressive regimes, including the corresponding symbols, insignia and memorabilia.
- Incitement to hatred and the demeaning of people or groups on grounds of origin, skin colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.
- Insults, public shaming or harassment of individuals, including indirectly through photos or descriptions.
- Photos in which other people are identifiable without their consent.
- Instructions for committing crimes.
- Offers that exploit hardship, as well as work below the statutory minimum wage or unpaid work described as an internship.
This list is not exhaustive. What is plainly offensive or damages the reputation of the platform may be removed even if it is not named here — you will be told the reason and may appeal (section 7).
Law and fair dealing
- Counterfeit goods and pirated copies.
- Stolen goods or goods of unclear origin.
- Identity documents, driving licences, official documents and certificates.
- User accounts, login credentials, streaming subscriptions, registered SIM cards.
- Gambling, betting, gaming machines, cryptocurrencies, investment offers, pyramid and referral schemes.
- Affiliate and commission programmes, and vague offers of earning money from home.
- Discriminatory content. In job ads specifically: no requirements as to age, sex, origin, religion, disability or marital status.
- Timeshares and fractional holiday-property rights.
- Fireworks, pyrotechnics and accessories for them.
- Equipment for decoding or receiving encrypted signals without authorisation, IPTV access, modchips and unlocking services.
- Purely digital goods: downloads, licence keys, in-game currency.
- Vouchers, coupons and gift cards of any kind.
- Fortune telling, tarot, horoscopes, card reading and similar offers.
Fraud patterns
- Advance payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or comparable cash transfers.
- Unrealistically low prices for valuable goods.
- Invitations to pay outside Achadinho through links that are sent to you.
- Supposed escrow or shipping-handling services with payment up front.
- Demands for money from applicants in job ads, whether called a placement fee, processing costs or a joining payment.
Wrong place for it
- Holiday and short-term lets. Long-term rental and sale are allowed. Short-term letting requires an AL licence in Portugal, which Achadinho cannot verify.
- Vehicles and boats: cars, motorbikes, scooters, campervans, boats, including inflatables with an engine and outboard motors. Those belong on carrango.pt.
3. What is expressly allowed
So that the automated check does not overshoot:
- Watersports equipment: surfboards, SUPs, kayaks, wetsuits, buoyancy aids. They belong in Leisure & sport.
- Phone numbers in the ad text.
- Home-produced food in Local produce — honey, olive oil, oranges, jam. Labelling and hygiene are the seller's responsibility.
- Pet supplies of all kinds.
4. What an ad must look like
- Your own photos of the item offered. No catalogue or manufacturer images, no images from other people's ads. We compare photos across the platform.
- One item per ad. No combined ads, no repeating the same item across categories, no reusing the same title and text across several ads.
- Achadinho is for offers, not wanted ads. "Looking for a washing machine" is not an ad.
- The category must fit. No altered spellings to get around the check or the search.
- A published ad may not be rewritten into something else. Editing one sends it back for checking.
- The price is the price you are actually asking, in euros. No bait prices, no "from" prices, no €1 to climb the sort order.
- Text, photos and details must match each other.
5. Categories with their own rules
Housing. An energy rating is mandatory in every property ad in Portugal; choose Exempt for exempt properties. Commercial estate agents in Portugal need an AMI licence and must state the licence number in the ad.
Jobs. Company name and type of employment are mandatory. No money may be asked of applicants.
Services. Registration, invoicing and insurance are the provider's own responsibility. Achadinho does not verify qualifications and does not act as an intermediary.
6. Contact and payment
- Achadinho does not handle payments and does not act as an intermediary.
- The seller's name and phone number are publicly visible in the ad.
- Interested parties may not be directed to external payment services or supposed escrow offers.
7. When an ad breaks the rules
- Ads are checked before publication. If an ad breaks the rules it is not published, and you are told the reason.
- You can appeal. Write to plisken122@gmx.com; we will look at the ad and reply within 14 days. Every automated decision is recorded with its reason, so that this can be verified.
- Repeated breaches lead to suspension of the account.
8. Reporting ads
- Any ad can be reported, with or without an account.
- Reasons: suspected fraud, prohibited content, incorrect information, spam or duplicate, already sold.
- You receive an acknowledgement and the decision.
- After three independent reports an ad automatically goes offline until it has been reviewed.
